E-Learning for Kids Provides over 175 Free Courses Online
 E-Learning for Kids (EFK, http://www.e-learningforkids.org/), a global non-profit foundation dedicated to providing free online learning for children 5-12, has added 72 new basic skills courses in 3 new languages - Spanish, French and Portuguese - to their existing curriculum. Currently over 175 courses are available in math, science, language arts, English as a second language, health and life skills!
In 2008, e-Learning for Kids reached more than 1 million children! Aside
from reaching more children and countries with its new courseware in
different languages, many more teachers, parents, and nongovernmental
organisations will be able to learn more about the foundation since the
learning portal's website is now also available in these new languages.
In total more than 175 courses, with a development value of over R30
million, are now available for FREE!
"Over the last couple of
years, we have received a lot of requests from people around the world
to make our courseware available in additional languages to support the
education of children in need. I am very excited with the
conversion/translation of these 72 courses. We look forward to
collaborating with more NGO's, schools and teachers to reach even more
children with our courseware", said Nick van Dam, Ph.D., founder and
